Je'mae: Creative
I call myself a "Creative" because the lines between titles can be blurred, It's not that easy to simply categorise myself as either a graphic designer or art director: the simple difference is that a graphic designer is focused on the execution and the art director is involved in the concept of the project. But, it's not that simple, because, there are plenty of designers that are conceptual and a lot of art directors that execute. - I love to do both and so much more.

I can design Logos and pretty adverts, I have made billboards and created huge catalogues, I've even typeset a biography and created Medical Case study Documents. So that fits into my technical ability to create detailed documents and important brand identities for companies new and old, big and small.

Je'mae: Strategist
Through my Studies at Vega (BA in Creative Brand Communications | Art Direction)
there was a strong focus on marketing and the psychology of advertising - with this as a base I focused on understanding the core values for each and every brand I worked on going forward and always pushed to offer not just a solution for what was being briefed but a more holistic approach to the entire brand. Each brand I work on becomes a part of me.

This includes the new concept of digital strategy which I believe should not function on it's own but in conjunction with the entire marketing strategy - each aspect of a business has it's own digital audience and should be thouroughly thought out.

I'm not sure this is an actual title that I can claim but it is a huge part of how I tie the entire creative idea together - the success of Thoughtbox is attributed to the clever sayings for the items in the box and that is brought through into the way I present campaigns and concepts across the board - from quirky gifts to content creation.

Je'mae Mountjoy: Content Creator

This is where I have the most fun - they say if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life - That saying is 100 % true - My work as a creative has taken me, from filming dairy farms in the Free State to organising international pharmaceutical breakfast confrences in San Fransisco to late nights on sets for tv ad's and content creation, each time being hands on to ensure I understand the core of the company that is needing my take on how consumers see thier business.

From perfecting a cup of coffee for that perfect insta shot to creating recipes and lifehack videos #yum - all while keeping things real, relevant and relatable.
